[Live From Matter Music] EP Out Now!
The Origami Tour Recap
Our Story
Aurora Ave. was born in June 2020, the day multi-instrumentalist Koh Casaba invited a group of childhood friends, and bandmates to a jam session in his front yard. The group agreed to be a band around a picnic table at a taco truck the same afternoon.
Beginning in the heart of the pandemic, the band’s early work was conceived entirely outside in Koh’s yard.
“Own” (appropriately opening their debut album) was the first song the band would play there.
Since then, the band has released a debut album at the beginning of 2022, and the sun/rise/down EP in June 2023. In 2023, the band adopted new leader singer Samara Reign and released their first track as a group, Pearl in March 2024.
Aurora Ave. has opened for notable acts such as The Temptations, Jean Dawson, The Moss, Winona Forever, and Spelling, as well as repeated recognition from major local independent radio KEXP. The 8-piece indie outfit was founded in Seattle, WA.
